About Us
Crafting Civic Change is led by Ania Mendrek.
Ania brings two decades of experience in strategic international growth, organisational development, and policy shaping.
Beginning her career in education, Ania transitioned into employment services, quickly establishing herself as a leader in programme design, stakeholder engagement, and service transformation.
She led major initiatives for organisations such as Maximus Inc., where she directed European growth strategies, developed market entry frameworks, and helped secure multimillion-pound government contracts.
She specialises in designing inclusive, gender-responsive employment services, amplifying the voices of vulnerable jobseekers, and aligning programmes with policy priorities and emerging technologies. Her work bridges strategy and practice, from large-scale reforms to hands-on service design, with a particular interest in the intersection of gender, technology, and employability.
She has worked with international institutions (e.g. ILO, ADB, ELA, Expertise France, European Commission, World Bank) and public, private, and third sector organisations across Europe, MENA, and Asia.
Ania is also a trustee of the Small International Development Charities Network (SIDCN), underpinning her commitment to strengthening grassroots organisations and amplifying community-led development. Through this role and her wider consulting practice, she champions inclusive, locally grounded approaches that bridge strategic ambition with operational reality. Whether advising international donors, designing national reform strategies, or coaching frontline teams, Ania brings a deep belief in the power of collaborative, user-centred design to transform services and unlock systemic change.
